The Day
A mid August wedding at the prestigious members Royal Automobile Club at Woodcote Park Epsom. The venue is a Grade II listed stately home over 300 acres in the Surrey Downs. The ceremony took place in the The Cedar Room, which is full of light with floor to ceiling height French windows. The couple had a drinks for their wedding reception held on the expansive lawns. Meanwhile, the Cedar Room was prepared for the wedding breakfast. The building is full of architectural character and oozes sophistication.
The Brief
Citrus Fruit Aesthetic - Our vibrant couple wanted a colour palette that reflected their personality, this bright summery theme, craved the use of seasonal stems in rich punchy tones. The bride wanted the guests to feel relaxed, joyful and excited by the florals. So we used soft tones amongst hot pops of exploding colour in order to create an impactful wedding design aesthetic.
The Flowers
We used a selection of seasonal flowers to showcase the best summer stems. We sourced dynamic Dahlias, abundantly petaled Garden Roses, Hot pink Cosmos, playful Helenium, lime green Alchemilla Mollis along with dyed pink Lisianthus The dying process highlights the divine veins within the petals.
The Ceremony & Wedding Breakfast
An indoor ceremony in the Cedar Room overlooked the Cedar Lawn. The Moongate was the statement piece that sat at the end of the aisle. Filled primarily with mixed Garden & Spray Roses as well as Dahlia’s and draped lime green Amaranthus to give a magical flowing & trailing feel, including British grown foliages supporting the round shape of the design. With colourful flower meadows adorning the length of the aisle.
Shortly after the ceremony was complete guests moved onto the Lawns to enjoy drinks and canapes whilst the room was turned around by staff at the RAC. Tall vibrant table arrangements on brass coloured geometric style stands were placed on the round guest tables and finished with brass candlestick holders in a variety of heights with colourful long taper candles in shades of hot pink, orange, pale pink & yellow.
