How we got here
For both of us, celebration has always meant more than aesthetics.
Through very different life experiences, we each learned how important it is to mark the beautiful moments in life — to gather, to celebrate, and to create something that feels joyful, meaningful and fully alive.
For Holly, flowers and thoughtful details became a way of creating joy and care in difficult times — moments that made people feel special when life felt uncertain. What began as a love of celebration eventually became floristry: a creative path rooted in beauty, connection and meaning.
For Laura, the dragonfly carries deep personal meaning. After losing a dear family member at a young age, it became a symbol woven through her family — one that speaks to transformation, resilience, and the idea that beauty and joy can still be found through change.
Today, those experiences shape everything we create together.

For Laura, it carries personal meaning and became a natural part of the story behind the business.
When Holly & the Ivy evolved into Holly & the Dragonfly, it marked a new chapter — bringing together partnership, creativity and a shared vision for building something beautiful together.
